Viridian Artists Inc. is an artist-owned, professionally operated gallery, located in New York City in the prestigious Chelsea region of Manhattan, home to some of New York’s finest and most highly respected art galleries. Viridian recently celebrated its 45th anniversary and is one of the City’s oldest artist-owned galleries. It is widely regarded as an outstanding showcase for emerging and established artists from the continental USA and around the world supporting a broad range of original and innovative work that meets the highest esthetic standards. Artists are reviewed and selected by peer review and if accepted, contribute a one-time initiation fee and monthly maintenance fees to share the expenses of being represented by a gallery located in the mainstream of the New York Art World.
Viridian Artists’ Young Artists Program: In the spirit of promoting young and emerging artists, Viridian is offering a fellowship for professional artists who are between 21-29 years of age and desire to be represented by an artist-owned and professionally operated Chelsea Gallery and become part of the New York Art Community. With full awareness of the high cost of NY living, artists selected for this program will pay half the usual cost of membership. When they reach their 30th birthday, the dues will increase to the full membership rate.
