Portraits of Immigrants: New York Exhibition

Betsy Ashton exhibits 16 of her life-size portrait paintings, alongside their inspiring stories, January 22nd through February 15th, 2019, in Andrew Hall on the third floor of Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue. Portraits of Immigrants New York exhibition is open to the public weekdays from 10am to 5pm at One West 53rd Street, New York, NY.

I was delighted to attend the opening reception of this first of two planned New York showings.  A future Portraits of Immigrants New York exhibition will be on display at The Riverside Church in Morningside Heights this coming March 6th through April 22nd.

Portraits of Immigrants: Unknown Faces, Untold Stories is the culmination of two years researching and creating a body of work by Ashton to find out who today’s immigrants really are. We posted earlier here, when the first 10 completed portraits were shown in Long Island City, at The Gallery of Diego Salazar Antique Frames.
