“Nature fills me with inspiration. Sometimes it brings a beautiful familiar and sometimes it brings uncommon grandeur. This is what my dreams are made of.” – Dannielle Mick
Dannielle Mick has been inspired by land, sea and sky for as long as she has painted. Years ago, she moved to a lakeside setting. The wide-open spaces of the sky and water opened a whole new world of inspiration to her. She has completed hundreds of paintings of these views. Sun, rain, fog, mist, and snow are just some of the elements she seeks to capture. She never tires of ever-changing views of the different seasons and times of day.

Beach Day, pastel on paper, 8” x 10”, 2017
In Mick’s body of work, she believes that the paintings speak for themselves, telling a story about a place in time. They evoke an emotional connection to the subtleties in our everyday surroundings that we take for granted. She knows that what she observes will never be the same again.
