Study with Adrian Martinez at Historic Yellow Springs
Adrian Martinez, an internationally known artist, instructor and lecturer, will teach both a 5-week Friday class, Painting Techniques – Grisaille and Glazing and 2-day Saturday-Sunday workshop, Abstract Art Workshop at the Chester Springs Studio in Historic Yellow Springs, Chester Springs, PA.
The Friday class, Painting Techniques-Grisaille and Glazing, begins on May 24 and continues each Friday, 9:30am – 12:30pm, through June 21, 2019. Adrian Martinez will offer each artist (beginners to professionals) five weeks of technical analysis along with real-time demonstrations vividly explaining the three essential stages of Renaissance oil painting. Each artist will complete a basic drawing, move to a gray toned underpainting in oil, and finally to colorful oil glazes.
On June 8th and 9th, 10am – 3pm, Adrian Martinez will offer a painting, drawing and mixed media workshop to explore each student’s connection to the past 100 years of avant-garde during his Abstract Art Workshop. Each session will begin with a brief introduction to a particular movement and the artist that best represents it. At the end of this class you will understand the visual language of abstract art, and how you can apply those techniques to any type of painting.

Meeting Steve Salek and becoming aware of Vasari was very timely. In my painting as well as my teaching Vasari oil colors will be essential. Colors of this quality were not only important to artists of the past but, through Vasari still available today!
Hello Adrian,
Thank you for your support and appreciation of our colors!
Best regards,
-Gail
